There cannot be many people of a certain generation who did not know and respect Archie for his enthusiastic involvement in our local youth club where he enjoyed showing off his badminton skills, encouraging us to join in and of course, ensuring the all important tuck shop was fit for purpose. All done with good humour.
I will miss him, not because I spoke to him every week, I didn’t - but because he was always there. A huge part of the community and an important part of my life.

Archie was indeed a Gentleman who did so much for Kilmarnock and Loudoun Youth Panel and for Youth in General. I had so much Respect for Archie and it was an Honour and a Privilege to have known him.
